As head of year six, I manage a small team of teaching staff. My leadership skills are also deployed as I am the Literacy lead for the school; this involves mentoring, coaching and, in certain cases, when required, strict discipline. In my role as Literacy Co-ordinator, I support colleagues in planning and delivering outstanding Literacy lessons, providing teachers with innovative ways to deliver the English curriculum. I carry out various monitoring activities, setting appropriate targets for teaching staff to ensure high quality teaching and learning outcomes.
