Ian first became a headteacher in Havering 1993.
In his career he has been headteacher of five very different primary schools. He has worked as a Local Authority advisor and school improvement partner in Tower Hamlets and Newham.
As a Headteacher he has experience of working across VA and non-denominational schools and a range of experiences in different educational contexts.
As a local authority officer he led on assessment, school development planning and improving systems as well as supporting schools causing concern.
He is especially passionate about coaching having recently completed a certificate in coaching from the University of Cambridge.
