This session is for primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs), regardless of the Early Career Framework (ECF) programme they are on.
A face to face session for Early Career Teachers working in EYFS and KS1.
The session will focus on how to survive your first parents’ evening, how to build positive relationships with parents and how to anticipate difficulties.
The session is complementary to the ECF but it will not cover what is being covered elsewhere by your provider. It provides a chance to network with your ECT colleagues from other schools and share good practice.
Teachers strive to establish partnerships with parents to support pupils’ learning. Strong links with parents is fundamental to building a sense of community between home and school. In these changing times, teachers must continue to develop and expand the links with parents in order to maximize outcomes for all pupils.
