Peer support for the moderation of Year 2 teacher assessments. Open to all schools.

Support for accurate summative assessment of pupils’ work using the optional Teacher Assessment Frameworks for reading, writing and mathematics.

The purpose of moderation is to support the process of making accurate assessments. This event provides an opportunity for Year 2 teachers to come together to take part in a moderation activity. This is for teachers from schools where the optional Teacher Assessment Frameworks are being used to make summative assessments.

Year 2 teachers are invited to bring samples of children’s work for peer moderation using the Teacher Assessment Frameworks for reading, writing and mathematics.

Each attendee should bring three collections of children’s work: one for each of the three standards (WTS, EXS and GDS).

The TAF summative assessment is made based on the work of pupils across the whole academic year.
