HSIS English - English Workshop: Key Stage 2 Peer Support for the Moderation of Writing

One of a series of online (Zoom), one-hour, twilight discussion workshops.
The intention of this event is that attendees will practise assessing work collections alongside colleagues from other schools. They will discuss the judgements they are making on collections of pupils’ written work, referring to the Teacher Assessment Framework for KS2 writing.
Each attendee is expected to offer at least one example collection of work to discuss. To enable the sharing of work collections, attendees will need to scan the collection of work - making sure that personal details (such as the pupil’s name) are not included anywhere in the scanned copy – and send the collection as one continuous PDF document in advance of the meeting.
Attendees will offer examples of Year 6 pupils’ written work collections for peer moderation, sending them in advance of the meeting.
Attendees will use the Teacher Assessment Framework to gauge the collections of written work.
PLEASE NOTE: Examples of pupils’ work shared in the forum must have pupils’ names hidden from view.
