HSIS Computing - Using Technology in the EYFS

This course is aimed at teachers in EYFS. Despite computing not being explicitly mentioned within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, which focuses on the learning and development of children from birth to age five, there are many opportunities for young children to use technology to solve problems and produce creative outcomes.

The course will help develop an understanding of how teachers can use technology in the Early Years. We will explore resources and hints and tips to make the best use of them. When teaching computing it is important to understand the key teaching points and subject vocabulary. This course will provide an opportunity to further support or extend existing practice, including opportunities experience some hands-on experience with technology suitable for this age range.
